Neil Young. After The Gold Rush

I was lyin' in a burned out basement
With a full moon in my eyes
I was hopin' for a replacement
When the sun burst through the skies
There was a band playin' in my head
And I felt like getting high
Thinkin' about what a friend had said,
I was hopin' it was a lie
Thinkin' about what a friend had said,
I was hopin' it was a lie

this from the song after the gold rush. Ive been on a major Neil Young trip for some time now.
It all probably started when my dear sister put Dont let it bring you down on my Shuffle.
also a drunken upstairs neighbour brought me Youngs best of cd along with lots of southern rock.
I spent most of learning Neil Young songs while I was at home recovering from the operation on my ankle(last time I guess I lied when I said it was my knee... sorry. anyway)also I repaired one guitar for a friend and
she was pleased enough to give me a gift certificate to a recordstore where I bought 2 books, an Iggy
Pop biog, and Jimmy McDonoughs Shakey,a Neil Young biography which was one of the best biographies ive
